Bend Paddle Trail Alliance is comprised of local paddlers and outdoor enthusiasts who volunteer their time and talents to make the mission of BPTA a reality. Besides the Board of Directors and active committee members, BPTA needs the support of everyone in the community who would like to see a paddle trail and whitewater play park in Bend. As the concept grows, BPTA will be soliciting grants and larger donations from government sources, foundations and outdoor recreational businesses around the country. For individuals in these companies to decide to contribute to our project, they must first see that it has strong support from the local community. And that’s where you come in!
Become a “Friend” of the Bend Paddle Trail Alliance
During our first couple years of operation, BPTA needs unrestricted money for operational expenses such as for our web site, printing materials, public relations, fund raising seed money etc. Once we are more secure with this base of funding, we will be able to apply to larger national sources.
You can help by becoming a Friend of BPTA. Contribute what you can. We need paddlers, outdoor enthusiasts, area residents, local clubs and businesses to show their financial support of BPTA’s efforts to bring a paddle trail and whitewater play park to Bend.
