Bend Metro Parks and Recreation District Board unanimously approves $48,400 contract for initial engineering feasibility studies within UGB

Deschutes Paddle Trail Tour introduces community to the Deschutes River above Bend and several upper Cascades lakes. The tour was followed by a BBQ and photo contest at Alder Creek

BPTA volunteers clean up Mirror Pond for second straight year during 2006 Riverfest.

BPTA unveils “Deschutes Paddle Trail” posters and new brochure at Alder Creek’s Paddlefest at McKay Park. This initiates the effort in 2006 to get our message out to the community and clearly defines the scope of the Deschutes Paddle Trail.

BPTA receives an American Canoe Association/L.L.Bean $1,000 Club-Fostered Stewardship Grant to initiate development of trail maps/guides.

Bend Metro Parks and Recreation announces the Request for Proposals to conduct the preliminary feasibility study for whitewater play features within Urban Growth Boundary with a June 27 deadline for submission.

BPTA updates community of their 2005-2006 progress on the development of the Deschutes Paddle Trail at Alder Creek’s PaddleSlam event.

BPTA receives $34,000 anonymous donation, half to support ongoing development and half requiring matching donations.

Bend Metro Parks and Recreation District Received a $25,000 Grant From Bend Visitors and Convention Bureau to Conduct the Initial Feasibility Study for White Water Play Features within Urban Growth Boundary.
